21,255 Group A vacancies in Union government services

New Delhi [India]Feb 03 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Jitendra Singh, on Thursday informed Rajya Sabha in a written response that 21,255 Group A positions are vacant in the services Governments of the Union and that vacancies are filled. a continuous process.
Government periodically issues instructions to all Ministries/Departments to take prompt and advanced action to fill vacancies.
The Union Minister’s response to questions from CPI(M) MP Dr. V Sivadasan informed the Upper House that according to the Expenditure Department, there are 21,255 Group A posts unfilled and 7,56 146 Group C positions under the Government of India as of March 1, 2020:
The Union Minister, in his written response, further stated that in line with the recommendations of the 6th Central Wages Commission, all Group “D” positions in the Central Government have been upgraded to Group “D” positions. VS”. Therefore, to date, there are no Group “D” positions within the central administration.
“Filling vacancies is a continuous process. The government issues instructions from time to time to all Ministries/Departments to take prompt and advanced action to fill unfilled vacancies. The latest such instructions have been issued by the Department of Personnel and Training. OM No. 43014/03/2019-Estt. (B) of 21.01.2020 and 03.06.2021,” he added.
Parliament’s 2022 budget session kicked off on January 31 with the speech of President Ram Nath Kovind. The first part of the budget session is held from January 31 to February 11 and the second part will be held from March 14 to April 8. (ANI)
