Government services should not be delayed: CM – KERALA – GENERAL

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the backlog in providing government services to the public should be eliminated and it is not a charity but a right of the people. He was speaking at the annual meeting of District Collectors and Heads of Departments at Muscat Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram.

“There should be a proper grievance redress mechanism at district level. Government does not want the public to suffer by wandering around government offices. Collectors should intervene in this matter as a personal responsibility. Some things still need to be completed in the hundred-day programs organized after this government came to power. It must be completed as a matter of priority,” the CM said.

  • Delays in acquiring land needed for development projects should be eliminated. Adequate compensation must be paid to those who cede land. No one should have a bad experience giving the earth.
  • The Wayanad Coffee Park project announced by the previous government should materialize.
  • Prevention of waterlogging must be made effective.
  • It is not right for the district collectors to answer that they turned the matter over to other officials after hearing the problems of ordinary people.
