King directs government agencies to serve Hajj pilgrims in best possible way

JEDDAH — The Cabinet, chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, on Tuesday afternoon at Al-Salam Palace, was briefed on the results of the visits of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to Egypt, Jordan and Turkey, and the discussions with the leaders of these countries.

The discussions highlighted their favorable reception to the two initiatives of Saudi Arabia (Saudi Green Initiative) and (Middle East Green Initiative), support for Saudi efforts in the field of climate change, the emphasis on scaling up efforts to confront extremism and the fight against terrorism in all its forms, and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all the measures it takes to protect its national security and stability.

Discussions also focused on cooperation on all political issues and on strengthening economic partnerships in the areas of investment and trade.

The Cabinet referred to the Iraqi Prime Minister’s visit to Saudi Arabia and his talks with the Crown Prince, as the talks reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries, areas of joint cooperation, as well as the exchange of views on regional issues and international arenas, in a way that helps support regional security and stability.

The Cabinet welcomed the results of the first consultative meeting of the Political Coordination Committee between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and the 12th session of the Saudi-Italian Committee, as these two meetings reflected consensus in the visions of all regional issues and global, in addition to the concern to strengthen joint work in different areas.

At the start of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques spoke of Allah’s blessings on this holy country to serve the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque and make it a destination for pilgrims and Umrah performers, where care and service to them has been a top priority for the state since its inception, and will continue.

In this regard, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques ordered all state institutions concerned with Hajj to perform this great duty in the best possible way according to the organizational and operational plans for the Hajj season of 1443 Hijri, which is considered as the biggest after COVID. -19 pandemic, and to make every effort to facilitate procedures for pilgrims and perform their rituals with spirituality and tranquility and maintain the health gains made in the face of the pandemic.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the contents of the letter he sent to King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and the letter he received from the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) after the session, Acting Media Minister Dr. Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi said the Cabinet highlighted the content of the speech by the Saudi Arabia at the Ministerial Meeting of the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID). , which included emphasizing the importance of security of energy supply, economic development and addressing the challenges of climate change to ensure the growth and prosperity of countries. Saudi Arabia also called for using the large and growing international pool of funds to finance just green transitions.

The Cabinet referred to the statement issued by the International Monetary Fund following the 2022 Article IV consultations, which underlines the strength of the Saudi economy and its financial situation, and that the short and medium term prospects for Saudi Arabia are positive.
